OSCEOLA COUNTY ANNOUNCES THE AVAILABILITY OF STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP (SHIP) FUNDS

OSCEOLA COUNTY HAS BEEN ALLOCATED SHIP FUNDS FOR THE STATE FISCAL YEAR 2008/2009. THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS IS AS FOLLOWS:

• $811,316.70 - Down Payment / Closing Cost Assistance (Applications will be accepted beginning 1/12/09)
• $550,000.00 - Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation (Applications will be accepted beginning 1/12/09)
• $80,000.00 - Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention (Applications will be accepted beginning 1/12/09)
• $35,000.00 - Taxes & Homeowners’ Insurance Assistance (Applications will be accepted beginning 4/6/09)
• $54,000.00 - Rental & Utility Deposits (Applications will be accepted beginning 1/12/09)
• $100,000.00 - Special Needs Housing (Available through a competitive application/TBA)

Disaster Recovery: In the event of a disaster, this strategy will be funded with unencumbered funds.

• $320,009.41 - Down Payment / Closing Cost Assistance (Applications will be accepted beginning 1/12/09)
• $150,000.00 - Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation (Applications will be accepted beginning 1/12/09)
• $16,300.00 - Mortgage Foreclosure Prevention (Applications now available)
• $19,500.00 - Rental & Utility Deposits (Applications now available)

Disaster Recovery: In the event of a disaster, this strategy will be funded with unencumbered funds.

$55,003.39 - Administrative Expenses
$560,812.80 - TOTAL FUNDS AVAILABLE

The distribution of SHIP funds and applications will be received on a first come, first served basis for all eligible persons based upon the current Local Housing Assistance Plan. A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued for Owners/Developers requesting Special Needs Housing funds.

El CONDADO DE OSCEOLA HAS RECIBIDO FONDOS PARA EL ANO FISCAL ESTATAL 2008/2009.  LA ASIGNACION DE FONDOS ES LA SIGUIENTE:

• $811,316.70 - Asistencia para el pronto pago y gastos de cierre (aplicaciones serán recibidas comenzando el 12 de enero del 2009)
• $550,000.00 - Rehabilitación de vivienda ocupada por su dueño (aplicaciones serán recibidas comenzando el 12 de enero del 2009)
• $80,000.00 - Prevención de ejecución de hipotecas (aplicaciones serán recibidas comenzando el
  12 de enero del 2009)
• $35,000.00 - Asistencia para el pago de arbitrios y seguro de propiedad (aplicaciones serán recibidas comenzando el 6 de abril del 2009)
• $54,000.00 - Asistencia para el depósito de renta y utilidades (aplicaciones serán recibidas comenzando el 12 de enero del 2009)
• $100,000.00 - Viviendas con necesidades especiales (disponible a través de proceso competitivo solamente)

Recuperación de Desastre: En el evento de un desastre, esta estrategia recibirá fondos adicionales no previamente asignados.

Las aplicaciones para la distribución de fondos del programa “SHIP” serán procesadas en orden recibidas para todas las personas que sean elegibles, según el Plan Local de Asistencia de Vivienda. Una petición de propuesta será ofrecida para los dueños o desarrolladores que estén interesados en asistencia para viviendas con necesidades especiales.
