Building Permit Fee

Based on the calculated valuation cost of the building and applying fee multipliers as per Osceola County Fees Resolution. The calculated valuation of the building is determined by multiplying the building gross area by the unit cost of construction Building Gross Area x Unit Cost of Construction depending on the construction type and occupancy of the building as per the Building Valuation Data published by the International Code Council ICC and dated August 2005.

Building Plan Review Fee

Calculated at a rate of 50% of the Building Permit Fee. This fee is additional to the Building Fee and is due at the time of permit application.

Archival Fee

A county building archival fee is a fee that is charged to offset the costs associated to the State of Florida mandated Records Retention and Records Management requirements.

Calculated at a rate of 3% of Building Permit Fee.

Fire Plan Review Fee

The county building fire plan review fee is a fee that is charged by the county government for reviewing the fire safety plans of a building. Calculated at 0.001 x construction costs, with a $20.00 minimum.

Radon Fee

A radon fee is a fee charged by the county building department to test for radon gas in a building. The fee is calculated as a percentage of the building permit fee and is due at the time of permit application. Calculated at 2.5 % or $4.00 whichever is greater of the permit fee.

Technology Fee

A technology fee is a fee that is charged by the county government to offset the costs associated to technology related items, such as computer purchases, software purchase, inspector technology aides, and any other electronic devices used to provide a greater degree of customer service and reduce response time in providing permits and inspections. Calculated at 3% of Building Permit Fee.

Transportation Impact Fee
