A fifth-generation resident of Osceola County, Ricky is continuing the tradition of his pioneer cattle ranching family. During his career in beef cattle production, he has twice been named Osceola County Cattlemen's Leader and Rancher of the Year, has served as a cattle research advisor for the USDA and the University of Florida.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from the University of Florida in 2001.
He and his wife Erika, also a St. Cloud High School and University of Florida graduate, have three children - Nellie, Natalie, and Thomas.
Ricky is a member of the First Christian Church of Kissimmee and the Kissimmee Valley Livestock Show and Fair organization. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Osceola County Cattlemen's Association, Osceola County Farm Bureau, and the Silver Spurs Rodeo Club. He also represented District 5 on the Osceola County School Board from 2014 – 2020.
