Intern and Volunteer Center

The Osceola County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) offers volunteer opportunities for individuals wanting to give back to the community. Volunteers shall commit to serve in one of several disaster service areas, to include but not limited to:

  • Volunteer Reception Center (VRC)
  • Points of Distribution (POD)
  • Donations Warehouse Management
  • Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
  • Shelter Support Operations
  • Pet Friendly Shelter
  • Damage Assessment
  • Disaster Recovery Center
  • Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training

We also offer internship opportunities for individuals wanting learn hands on about the Emergency Management field. Vocational students must have completed one (1) year of course work to qualify as an intern. Undergraduate students must have completed their freshman year to qualify as an intern. Graduate students must have completed at least 15 credit hours to qualify as an intern. Vocational and undergraduate students must have a 2.5 grade point average. Graduate students must have a 3.0 overall grade point average.
