Osceola County Grant Program Announcement
The Osceola County Board of County Commissioners is seeking grant proposals for the United States Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Program passed through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Program, Strategy, and Purpose
The purpose of the funding is to address the problems of illegal drug use, violent crimes and improvements to the criminal justice system. The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program funds:
- Law Enforcement Programs
- Prosecution and court programs
- Prevention and education programs
- Corrections and community corrections programs
- Drug treatment and enforcement programs
- Planning, evaluation, and technology improvement programs
- Crime victim and witness programs (other than compensation)
- Mental health programs and related law enforcement and corrections programs, including behavioral programs and crisis intervention teams.

Deadline
The deadline for applications for Fiscal Year 2023 is 4:00pm on Friday, July 19, 2024.
Please note the official FY2023 JAGC solicitation is currently unavailable from FDLE and scheduled for release in early July 2024.
