Onsite Pets

Step 1.Visit the Website

Go to the Osceola County Animal Services adoption page at Osceola County Pets.

Step 2.Search for Pets

Use the search tool to browse adoptable pets. You can filter by species, breed, size, and other criteria.

Step 3.Check Adoption Fees

Adoption fees vary by animal. You can find specific fee information on the website or contact the shelter directly.

Step 4.Review Featured Pets

Look at the featured pets section to see any highlighted animals available for adoption. 

Step 5.Set Up a Play Date

Walk into the shelter to meet the pet you are interested in. You can also contact the shelter by calling 407-742-8000 to schedule a meet and greet with the pet.

Step 6.Complete the Adoption

After a successful meet and greet, finalize the adoption paperwork, pay the fee, and bring your new pet home!

 

In Foster Pets

Step 1.Find the Pet's ID Number

If you are interested in any adoptable pet currently in foster care, you will need the pet's ID number which you can find on the shelter's website.

Step 2.Check Adoption Fees

Step 3.Set Up a Play Date

Please call 407-742-8000 to schedule a meet and greet with the pet.

Step 4.Complete the Adoption

After a successful meet and greet, finalize the adoption paperwork, pay the fee, and bring your new pet home!

 

Offsite Pets

Step 3.Call to Verify

Please call 407-742-8000 to verify the correct adoptable pet and their location.

Step 4.Set Up a Play Date

Please contact the offsite partner location to schedule a meet and greet with the pet.

Step 5.Complete the Adoption

After a successful meet and greet, finalize the adoption paperwork and pay fees at the offsite partner location, and bring your new pet home!

Adoptable pets are updated throughout the day and all pets listed are available until an adoption is finalized. You can view all adoptable pets by visiting the Adoptable Pet Search through the shelter's website.

Where do I finalize the adoption?

Adopters interested on foster pets can fill out paperwork and pay fees virtually. Adopters interested on adoptable pets at partner locations will be able to finalize the adoption at the offsite location.

What are the adoption fees?

All adoption fees include spay / neuter and the first set of shots for your pet.

Does the adoption fee include spay / neuter?

All adoption fees include spay / neuter and the first set of shots for your pet. In most situations you will not be able to take your animal home the same day, it must first be spay / neutered.

Is an appointment required?

You can visit the shelter at any time during business hours to view and visit with the shelter's adoptable pets. It is recommended to call Animal Services for an appointment at 407-742-8000 to expedite the adoption process, but pets can be adopted without an appointment.
