Coronavirus Notice

Updated 3/31/2020

Effective Friday, March 20th, the Administration building will be closed to the public until further notice. The good news is that Osceola County’s web-based Permit Center at https://permits.osceola.org allows citizens and other customers the ability to apply and manage their permits online.

The following services are provided online:

  • Permit application
  • Fee payment
  • Plan review
  • Inspection request
  • Records request

We always recommend using this tool, as it allows the customer to work from their location and receive the same services as if they were at the Permitting Center. To minimize the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and to help keep customers and staff safe, we ask that you utilize the online services as much as possible during this time.

For those who would rather email applications and documents, please email them to permitting@osceola.org. If additional information is needed, a member of the permitting staff will contact you directly. Though our office is closed to the public, we are still operating with a few on site staff members and staff members working remotely that are available to answer any questions through email.

If there is a need to deliver hard-copy documents (plans, benchmarks, elevation certificates, checks, etc.…) to the Community Development Department, we will have a depository available by 12:00PM on Friday, March 20th at the entrance of the Administration Building where those items can be dropped off.

For Owner-Builder applications that need to appear in person, we are recognizing video-conferencing as an acceptable alternative. Skype is the preferred tool for this, but we will work with other apps if the need arises. Be sure to have a photo-ID available during the video call. For assistance with this option, please call the information number shown below.

For more information, please call (407) 742-0200.
