The Osceola County Housing Office is committed to improving the quality of life for Osceola County citizens by ensuring the provision of adequate affordable housing. Our offices, located at 1392 E Vine St, Kissimmee, FL 34744, are open on weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm. Please find information below on housing programs offered in Osceola County, Florida.
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs

State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program
The SHIP program provides funds for down payment assistance, minor repairs, mortgage foreclosure prevention, and rental security/utility deposits. Financial assistance is offered either in the form of a grant or a deferred payment loan.
Homeless Services Program
The program aims to assist Osceola County residents at risk of homelessness due to an unexpected financial hardship. The program covers rental and utility arrears, as well as mortgage assistance to prevent foreclosure. The FHA programs also serves households experiencing literal homelessness with assistance for security and utility deposits. To qualify you must be an Osceola County resident for a minimum of 6 months and provide documents to support your need upon request. The assistance is a one-time service, and applicants cannot re-apply for 2 years after financial support is provided.

HOME Program
The HOME program is administered through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and funds a wide range of activities including building, buying, and/or rehabilitating affordable housing for rent or homeownership or providing direct rental assistance for low-income families.

First Time Homebuyers Program
A Home of Your Own is a first-time homebuyer class open to all individuals interested in buying a home. This class does not guarantee that you will be eligible to receive funds towards purchasing a home, but rather helps you meet one of the requirements to apply.

Community Service Agency (CSA) Grant Program
The CSA program is intended to provide funding to organizations providing services that improve the quality of life for residents of Osceola County.

FDLE Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program
The purpose of the funding is to address the problems of illegal drug use, violent crimes, and improvements to the criminal justice system. The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program funds:
- Law Enforcement Programs
- Prosecution and court programs
- Prevention and education programs
- Corrections and community corrections programs
- Drug treatment and enforcement programs
- Planning, evaluation, and technology improvement programs
- Crime victim and witness programs (other than compensation)
- Mental health programs and related law enforcement and corrections programs, including behavioral programs and crisis intervention teams
