Established in 1914 by Franklin Babb and family from Tennessee, the property served as a successful citrus grove and harvest operation, which is visible at the site today. The 160 acre parcel is comprised of pine flatwoods, wet and dry prairies, oak hammocks and hardwood wetlands and is home to several important species, such as American bald eagle, sandhill crane, swallow-tailed kite and Eastern bluebirds.
