Lieutenant Lloyd Burton, Jr., Service Award to Mr. Nelson Winbush

The Osceola County Board of County Commissioners is pleased to award the Lieutenant Lloyd Burton, Jr. Service award to Mr. Nelson Winbush, a Korea War Veteran who has served Osceola County for many years as an educator. He has made a lasting impact on the children of Osceola County who are now adults with children of their own. He came to Kissimmee in 1955 and taught at Kissimmee High School, which was segregated at the time. He went on many years later to become an assistant principal at Osceola High School. The Board of County Commissioners is honored to recognize Mr. Winbush for his many life-long accomplishments.
