Buenaventura Boulevard Improvement Project
Project Details
Improvements to Buenaventura Boulevard include two separate projects. The first project is designed to improve safety along the corridor, from Florida Parkway to Osceola Parkway, a distance of approximately 1.4 miles. The project will be designed in accordance with a safety study of the corridor conducted in 2020 by the Florida Department of Transportation. The project includes roadway and signalization improvements and improved access for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists. A Complete Streets project comprises the second phase of planned improvements, from Simpson Road to Osceola Parkway, a distance of approximately 2.4 miles. This project aims to reduce vehicular speeds and includes construction of two roundabouts at Trotter’s Circle and Florida Parkway, a 12-foot wide shared use path, and additional flashing beacons for pedestrian crossings among other amenities.
